Short synopsis:
Running low on fuel, the Fantasia stop of at Gramth, a grim industrial city. Told that there is little fuel due to rebel activity, and thus prices are high, Garland, Timon and Eden start to discover that this is not the truth, and begin to take the rebels point of view.

When running low on fuel, the Fantasia stop off at Gramth – a grim industrial city, where children are put to work in mines.

On arrival, the mayor claims that fuel stocks are low due to rebel activity, so the Fantasia will have to stay and perform daily for two months in order to pay for the fuel they will require. Realising that they cannot afford to loose this time if they are to succeed in their quest, Garland, Timon and Eden take a look around Gramth, where they quickly find a rebel who pleads that they take her brother with them when they leave, to avoid him working in the mines. She also confirms Timon’s thoughts – that there is a lot more oil than they’ve been led to believe – and agrees to meet them later to help.

Meanwhile, Boomer spots Ozul and Maska entering the city, and manages to steel a bag of gold and a communication device from them. Lilith, looking at a sweet shop, gets found by the child-catchers, who search for children unauthorised to be out of the mines. Bing without the relevant paperwork, Lilith is marched down into the mines. Later on, when looking at the communication device, Boomer gets the fright of his life when he sees the Nennog staring back at him.

At the point where the rebel fighter agreed to meet them, Garland again sees the silver apparition, who beckons Garland to a lift down to the mines. Timon goes down with her, but Eden, who is claustrophobic, stays and looks after Jewel. At the bottom, Garland and Timon find Lilith and many other children being brutally forced to work. Timon manages to knock out a guard, whilst Garland unlocks chains. Soon, however, the alarm is raised. Hearing this, Eden plucks up the courage to enter the mine, and saves Garland, Timon and Lilith by conjuring a fire illusion between them and the guards.

With the rebels taking power, giving many barrels of oil to the Fantasia as a means of thanking them, the Fantasia leave to continue their journey to Newton.
