Full episode recap:
Six weeks before the solstice, the Fantasia reach Pilgrim’s Vantage – a hilltop from which Solis can be seen, over a great lake. With so much time to spare, the Fantasia party and celebrate. It is during this celebration that Garland notices how Maddie and Yves have become closer than ever, and she misses Ferdy, her father, dearly. It is at this point that Timon steps in and gives Garland an opportunity – to use the slider, change history and prevent Ferdy’s death. Garland is unsure about this, and Eden more so. He states that they are so close to success for Solis, that they cannot afford to mess with the timelines and risk changing everything. Timon shouts him down, saying Eden is selfish, wanting his parents back but not Garland’s. Garland goes away to think, but seeing Maddie and Yves again she makes up her mind. Timon prepares the slider, and Eden goes to get Jewel. Just as they are about to make the journey, Garland sees the Silver Girl, who is begging her not to do it. Ignoring this, Garland, Timon and Eden travel back to before the Road Rat attack.

Having successfully made the trip, Garland runs to Ferdy and is overjoyed to see him again. Ferdy is glad to see Garland, but is weary of the boys. When they warn him of the Road Rat attack, he takes notice, and they prepare. When they are attacked, Ferdy kills the Road Rat King, and the only casualty is Bailey, who unfortunately they have again been unable to save. Although pleased with what they have done, Eden warns that they will again need to divert the Fantasia off to Milton, otherwise they will be attacked by the second group of Road Rats. To Eden’s disbelief, Timon does not allow it, saying that this time the Fantasia will be prepared. They carry on, and are indeed attacked by the Road Rats, who are seeking revenge. The Fantasia are not, however, prepared.

The battle is horrific – Tane is shot and Byrna killed. Eden states that events are occurring just as in Garland’s old diary, the one he and Timon brought from the future, where the Fantasia die, but he is again shouted down by Timon. Ferdy states that the Road Rats want revenge, and will not stop until they kill a king for their dead king. During the night, Ferdy goes to the Road Rats and sacrifices his life to save the Fantasia. As he planned, the Road Rats do not continue their attack in the morning.

Realising that they have changed nothing, Garland feels wretched. Timon’s mind is on other things – he finds the Fantasia’s map and burns it, just before Garland and Eden find him. They return to the time they were at Pilgrim’s Vantage to find a few changes. Byrna is gone, and Nye is consequently mourning, Boomer has a bad limp, but most importantly they no longer have six weeks to reach Solis. Due to the map being lost, they have not made good progress, and now have just five days. Eden is angry and bewildered. He confronts Timon, and states that Timon meant everything to happen as it did, but he is ignored. Garland does not understand either. Timon tries to explain to Garland that he keeps doing things that he cannot control, but he fails to do so. Later on, the Nennog congratulates Timon for what he has done.

The Fantasia continue with only five days to reach Solis – time is now tight.
